Hello! I’m Lisa Melichar

Trauma Recovery Coach & Speaker

You weren’t born this way you were trained to survive.

I was the quiet achiever. The one who held it all together. The helper, the overfunctioner, the peacekeeper. On the outside, I looked capable. Inside? I was dissociated, exhausted, and terrified I was “too much” or “not enough.”

I’ve lived on both sides of the trauma cycle as a child in a dysfunctional, abusive home and as a parent supporting my child through mental health challenges. That dual perspective shaped how I coach: with empathy, boundaries, and a deep respect for the nervous system.

Everything shifted when I stopped trying to “fix” myself and instead, started learning how to see myself. The real me. Not the perfectionist or the people-pleaser. Me, without the armor.

I’m also a practicing flight attendant, and trust me turbulence is part of the ride. Healing is the same. But with the right support, you don’t have to crash. You get to land somewhere new.

Now, I help others release what they were never meant to carry. We unpack the baggage. Rebuild emotional trust. And take flight together.

Disclaimer

I am not a licensed therapist, psychologist, or medical provider, and I do not diagnose, treat, or cure mental health conditions. My work is educational and coaching-based, designed to support personal growth and self-awareness. I am a trauma-informed certified coach with extensive training and certifications in emotional healing, mindset work, and neuroscience-informed modalities such as NLP, CBT, REBT, and somatic approaches.

All information, tools, and guidance I provide are for educational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional mental health care, medical care, or crisis intervention. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, suicidal thoughts, or are in crisis, please contact a qualified mental health professional, call or text 988 in the U.S., or reach out to your local crisis line immediately.

My role is to help clients identify and interrupt survival strategies, build self-trust, and develop skills for living from their own truth. This work draws on proven frameworks such as Adult Children of Alcoholics principles, nervous system regulation practices, and research-backed insights from respected authors, clinicians, and educators. I integrate these with my lived experience and coaching expertise to create content and programs that are educational, empowering, and non-clinical in nature.

Engaging with my content, programs, or services does not create a therapist-client relationship. You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, and results.
